Barcode Compare
Barcode Compare mode compares sequential scans of two barcodes and determines if they match or not. Results are logged and may be saved to the device or emailed in CSV format for auditing and quality assurance.
Warehousing
When shelving items in a warehouse setting, it is critical for future productivity to ensure the right items are stored in the right place. By using Barcode Manager to match the barcode on the item to the barcode on the shelf, the staff member can easily validate that the item is being shelved in the right place.
Barcode List
Barcode List mode accepts sequential scan of barcodes into a list and optionally allows or disallows duplicates. The user may optionally record the GPS coordinates, a typed comment, and the Date/Time of each scan, depending on the nature of the asset and its storage location. Barcode List results may be saved to the device or emailed in CSV format.
Asset Audit
Barcode List mode may be used while auditing assets, such as computers, office equipment, or industrial and warehousing equipment. This mode may be used anywhere where a user might have many unique assets which may need to be periodically audited and accounted for.
Ad-Hoc parcel delivery
Use Barcode List mode to record the date, time, and GPS coordinates of each delivery event when making multiple deliveries to customers, or internally within an organization while optionally recording a comment about the delivery if required.
Count Entry
Count Entry mode accepts sequential scans of barcodes, requiring a Qty to be entered for each scan. Optionally allow decimal or zero value quantities to be entered, and optionally require validation of scanned barcodes from a reference file on the device and return adjacent reference file data. Count Entry results may be saved to the device or emailed in CSV format as required.
Stocktake Count
Stocktake Count can be used in a retail, commercial, or hospitality setting to count stock, including counting decimal or zero value quantities and allowing for duplicate barcodes to append or overwrite existing count quantities.
Barcode Lookup
Barcode Lookup mode allows the user to select a reference data file on the device, nominate a barcode column, and select columns to return. Scanned barcodes return selected adjacent reference file data on the screen for user review if the scanned barcode is found. No scan data is recorded.
Event ticket validation and security
Barcode Lookup mode may be used for on-the-spot security checking of tickets/lanyards/passes of attendees, to ensure the ticket barcodes are valid and the bearer is in the right place, at the right time. Scanned barcodes only return validated data, and don't alter or add to the data file.
Equipment Audit
Barcode Lookup may be used to spot-check or audit equipment in an office, retail, industrial or government setting, to ensure that the asset label affixed to an item is valid and affixed to the correct asset. If the scanned barcode is validated, associated asset data is displayed on the screen, allowing the user to verify that the target asset is correctly labelled.
